A Simple Plan!

God's plan is of utter simplicity! "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtitly, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." 2 Corinthians 11:3. Our God is not a respecter of persons. One need not be wealthy or rich in order to 'purchase' health; but, God has made health and healthful living available to even the poorest and simplest and most humble of households.

I fervently believe that the vanguard of the redeemed, at the forefront of their march into the kingdom of God, will not be led by the lame, the crippled, and the diseased struggling along on crutches; or being pushed along in wheelchairs and gurneys mounted with hanging plasma bottles and drip bags full of antibiotics, and sucking the breath of life out of compressed oxygen bottles; nor will they be an army division of personal electric scooter chairs or battery powered, mobile wheelchairs.

For what kind of a witness of God's healing power would they present to the dying world around them? But, I firmly believe that God's people will be of robust and vibrant health even though they may have been, and will have been sorely deprived and mightily oppressed! They will be mighty witnesses of God's healing powers [even the elderly and ancient among them]!

And I firmly believe that, God's prophets and priests [1 Peter 2:9; Revelations 1:5,6; 12:17; 19:10] will be as Moses - his eye was not dim, nor his life force abated even at 120 years of age. We will be in good health and physically strong [even the elderly and ancient among us] with youthful vitality; physically, mentally, and spiritually capable and active.

It must be as in the days of Moses following the exodus from Egypt, "Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not." Nehemiah 9:21. The people had finally settled their hearts, and prepared their hearts to seek after God with all their strength, mind, and soul. They no longer lusted after the flesh pots and delicacies of Egypt. They contented themselves with the provision that God had made for them. The very best He could provide - manna from heaven, the corn of angels, the bread of heaven.

We must settle our hearts and content ourselves with the good provision that God has made for us. The very best provision that He has made for our benefit: a large varitey of raw fresh fruits and vegetables and herbs, cooking only that which is necessary; a little grains, a little legumes, nut meats, and good oils and some spices. We must cast aside our lusts for flesh foods and dairy products. We must learn to abstain from all things harmful.

There is a great work to be done before that the time of our Lord's soon return comes. We need to learn how to correctly feed and properly take care of our bodies so that God may be glorified in the bodies and souls of His saints. This is truly the spiritual preparation of cleansing and purifying the soul temple that God's holy Spirit may be poured out upon His people.
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
Joel 2:28-29

Our Bones - the Structure and Foundation of the Human Body

In the correct feeding of our bodies; and in properly caring for our bodies we must come to a correct understand of the importance of well nourished bones! The bones of the human body [and all mammals] form the basic structure upon which all the tissues are knitted together.

Hear the prophet Ezekiel, "...Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. .... Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord." Ezekiel 37:4-6.

The suffer of osteo-arthritis [and even those who suffer from osteoporosis] must understand how important a strong foundation is. A weak and flawed foundation does not, and will not support a strong structure very long. Joints that are inflamed, swollen, painful, and wearing and/or worn out are built upon the foundation of the bones. Healthy joints are founded on strong and healthy bones. It is not in the order of our God that the bones are built upon the cartilage of the joints; but rather the cartilage is 'layed' upon the structure of the bones.

Good bone health is of primary interest to all of God's people. 'For the life is in the blood'; and, of course, the body's blood cells are manufactured in the marrow of our bones. But most especially the sufferers of osteo-arthritis and osteoporosis need to come to an understanding of how to correctly nourish the bones of their bodies that their souls may flourish and bear much fruit.

With this understanding in mind, let us then really begin to pursue good strong healthy bones. We must learn what bone health is all about, and how to achieve it. We need, most desperately, to un-learn incorrect and wrong and harmful information and teachings that we have accumulated and acquired through a lifetime of woefully inadequate training and teaching and incorrect and harmful habits.

Calcium: Its Importance to Good Bone Health: Think, Green Leaves!

Let us ask ourselves some questions. Where do cows, especially 'free range' cattle get all the calcium for the milk they produce? Do they drink three glasses of milk a day? How much cheese and ice cream do they eat? Where do birds and chickens, especially 'free range' chickens, get all the calcium needed to form healthy and strong egg shells?

The relevant answer to some of these questions is that the calcium that provides for the needs of cattle and fowl comes from a natural diet of the green leaves of plant foods! This is God's plan for all His created vertebrate and mammalian creatures, including mankind.

Many of those that live in the United States, England, Sweden, and Europe, and many of those that live in the 'developed-industrialized' nations of the world are plagued with arthritis OsteoPorosis. These countries have a very high per capita consumption of calcium, even record high levels; but the incidences of OsteoArthritis, and OsteoPorosis are at epidemic levels. Especially afflicted is the population of the the United States where calcium intake is so much higher than in most parts of the rest of the world. Why do you suppose this is so?

MILK

Warning - The following information is not applicable [Does Not Apply] to Mother's Milk given to her infant! Infact, breast feeding an infant until he is weaned provides the best nutrition for the infant; and it provides the best health for both mother and child.


Did you know that consuming animal - that is mammal - MILK provides an excellent environment within the human body
\for all types of fungus to thrive in? Did you know that animal milk is a leading factor causing the immune system to mal-function in Type 1 Diabetes? Did you know that animal milk is a leading cause of 'Food Allergy' problems? Did you know that even though animal milk contains good amounts of calcium, the human body does not absorb it well - in fact, milk products cause the body to eliminate more calcium through the urine than the calcium the body is able to absorb from milk products consumed? Did you know that the milk sugars and the milk proteins found in animal milk are the main causative factors in all the above listed conditions?

Increasingly we are starting to learn that the consumption of animal protein - especially flesh meats and especially milk - actually promote calcium loss or bone resorption. Additionally we are beginning to come to the realization that meat consumption is not globally sustainable for a population of some six and one-half plus billion people: a population that is rapidly increasing and projected to be nearly nine billion by the year 2050 (United Nations Population Growth report).

Do you remember the questions asked in the paragraph just before the one above? Free range cattle get their calcium from their natural diet, the diet they were designed to eat by the Creator. Cows do not drink three glasses of milk a day as recommended by the 'dairy council' for all men, women, and children to do. In fact there are no mammals in their natural habitat that continue to consume large quantities of milk or milk products of any kind on a regular basis after that they are weaned from the breast or the mammary glands - with the single exception of man!

But, so it is to be with human beings; we, also, are to get our calcium supply from 'natural' dietary sources that include the original plant based diet given to man by his Creator in the garden of Eden. Our diet, originally, as given to us by our Creator is a plant based diet. Ask yourself this simple but seemingly silly question, 'Did Adam and Eve have an old Bessie cow in the barn to provide milk and butter? The answer to that question is assuredly, and emphatically - No!

Essential to good bone health is the element strontium. Strontium is classified as an alkaline-earth 'heavy metal'. It is highly reactive to both water and oxygen. Strontium is chemically very similar to the element calcium. Beside radioactive strontium the only other form of strontium harmful to humans is strontium chromate. Strontium chromate causes lung cancers. Because of its reactivity to the atmosphere and water strontium is naturally found in foods in the form of compounds like strontium citrate, strontium carbonate, strontium gluconate, and strontium lactate.

Strontium is abundantly found in foods like green leafy vegetables such as cabbage, kale, spinach, lettuce, onions; root vegetables like beets, carrots and parsnips; grains; spices; and Brazil nuts. It is found naturally in the body and is essential to bone development.

Strontium suppresses osteoclast, but does not kill them as bisphosphonate drugs do. Three examples of bisphosphobate drugs are: Fosamax®, Boniva®, Actonel®, or etc. Osteoclast are cells that are responsible for the removal of bone tissue [bone resorption] and the transfer of the calcium from the bones to the blood stream. The presence of strontium accelerates the development of osteoblast, cells which deposit bone tissue.

Those who have been treated with bisphosphonates experience abnormal and depressed utilization of strontium's ability to regenerate bone tissue for at least six months or perhaps even longer after ceasing to use bisphosphonate drugs. Bisphosphonates are not good for bone health: in fact they are dangerous!

Supplemental strontium and calcium can enhance bone density for those who suffer from osteoporosis. If you should to choose to use dietary supplementation, please read the section located just below this section entitled: Chided - Pharmaceuticals to Neutraceuticals!

Having made the choice to supplement with strontium, it is important to supplement with calcium as well in at least equal amounts; but some experts say to use more calcium than strontium because long term supplementation with strontium alone is known to cause bone deformities.

Also important to know and beware of is - strontium competes with calcium for absorption in the body. Therefore strontium supplementation should not be taken at the same time or at the same meal as the calcium supplementation is taken, but separated. Perhaps strontium supplementation may be taken at breakfast and calcium supplementation taken at the dinner or evening meal [or vice versa - the other way around].

Beware that the strontium compound strontium ranelate is a man-made chemical used in the prescription medicine Protelos®. It is new to this earth, and it is the combination of Strontium and Ranelic Acid. I am of the very strong opinion that the chemical compound strontium ranelate would probably be better avoided [search the Internet for Ranelic Acid]; and a supplement containing one of the natural compounds of strontium such: as strontium citrate; strontium carbonate; strontium lactate; or strontium gluconate used in its place. Not only will you avoid any possible dangers from ingesting ranelic acid, but you are likely to save significant money while achieving equal or better results.

For those concerned about loss of dental enamel in the teeth, calcium and strontium supplementation make good sense. If you choose to utilize dietary supplementation of calcium and strontium to help preserve your teeth; then follow the recommendations above - use at least equal amounts or more of calcium than strontium, and supplement with calcium and strontium at different times to avoid competition in the uptake of calcium and strontium.

When we think of 'Bone Health' let us think 'green': green leaves, a large variety of the green leaves of food plants. See Ezekiel 47:12, "And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed [rot]: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine."

The leaf shall be for medicine! The potassium and calcium thereof are, indeed, needful medicine for those suffering from OsteoArthritis, and even osteoporosis. Large and regular portions of fresh raw green leaves such as in fresh green garden salads are good medicine, indeed!

"And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food: Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it:...' Genesis 2:8-9; 16-17. Animal based foods were not part of God's original plan for man's diet, nor were they meant to provide the primary source of calcium intake.

In fact animal based foods shorten longevity and degrade health. Chided - PharmaCeuticals to NeutraCeuticals!

Friday evening 24 September 2010 and Sabbath 25 September 2010 doctor Thomas Jackson of MEET Ministry spoke at the 7th-day Sabbath Church. I was in the congregation. He chided me, and deservedly so, with this admonition - Pharmaceuticals to NeutraCeuticals!

It seems that we are a pill popping people. The transferring of the learned trait of taking pills [prescribed pharmaceutical drugs and medicines] over to taking a variety of different kinds of supplements and highly concentrated nutrients [Neutraceuticals], is a symptom of slothfulness - laziness. We are unwilling to exert the effort, patience, and time to correct health problems naturally. In stead we look for a quick easy fix or solution to the problem.

Guilty as charged! Dr. Thomas Jackson is right, and I stand admonished. I have been using Neutraceuticals and writing about them on this Web-site. In the place of Pharmaceutical Drugs and Medicines; and highly concentrated nutrients and dietary supplements [Neutraceuticals] we should seek to our God, and the provisions He has made for our well being and health!

Is there a an appropriate place for Pharmaceuticals and Neutraceuticals? Yes, I suppose there is. But Pharmaceuticals and Neutraceuticals should not make void or displace our responsibility to live in a healthy manner; and to be accountable to our God for maintaining our soul temples in optimum condition. The required discipline to live a healthy lifestyle is no more than our due service to our God! It is truly a sacrifice that we make to our God!

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will [purpose or desire] of God. Romans 12:1-2

One of the basic premises of my beliefs about health, is that one must not need to be wealthy to be healthy! Pharmaceuticals and Neutraceuticals are costly and expensive; and so they are not universally available to all. Our God has made great provision for His children! But God's Eight Natural Health Laws are available to nearly everyone.

God's Eight Natural Health Laws

In searching for an answer for freedom from arthritis consider that the answer lies in obeying God's eight natural laws of health [see God's eight natural health laws listed below]. Every one of these natural health laws is absolutely vital to good health. They are: Godly Trust; Fresh Clean Air; Adequate Exercise; Sunshine; Adequate Sleep & Rest; Pure Water; Temperance - Abstemiousness; and Proper Diet and Nutrition. Beside trust in God, diet is perhaps among the most treatable factors in preventing and treating OsteoArthritis. But, remember, all eight natural health laws are of essential importance!

Godly Knowledge and the Natural Remedies Encyclopedia

We need to re-learn many things about eating [our diet]; and we need to discard many of the wrong teachings we have received. We need godly wisdom and knowledge. The Scriptures are full of such knowledge. Have you ever heard the proverb, 'You are what you eat'? If we eat junk food what do you suppose is likely to be our end result? Is it not likely that eventually our bodies will become 'junk'? We need to learn to discern between that which is good and that which is not good. What we have been taught and therefore seems right is not always necessarily good. Acquiring good dietary knowledge and habits can save us from a woeful fate; and restore us to good healthful and natural vitality if we will employ that knowledge in our lives..

We must be willing to invest the time, effort, and even money to learn that which is correct; and then exercise the discipline to implement that knowledge into our lifestyle. "Receive my instruction and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom (is) better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it." Proverbs 8:10-11.

Re-Learning the Traditional 'Food Pyramid'

One of the things which we have learned incorrectly [and that is taught as correct, but is not] which needs to be re-learned is that which we have learned about the traditional 'food pyramid'. The traditional 'food pyramid' places grains [wheat, rice, barley, and etc] and legumes [basically dried beans] at the bottom of the 'food pyramid' making them the basis or foundation of the diet. The traditional 'food pyramid' encourages us to eat largely [mostly] of grains and legumes, more so than any other food/food-group. But grain, grain products, and dried legumes such as beans, peas, and lentils are all acid producing foods in the blood!

And, now, new knowledge instructs us to eat only about 20% to no more than 30% of these acid producing foodstuffs; and to eat 70% to 80% alkaline producing foods. Almost all grains and legumes are acid producing foods in the body. And most fresh fruits and fresh vegetables [fruits and vegetables which are best consumed raw or uncooked] are alkaline producing foods in the body. Briefly our diet should ideally consist of 70% - 80% fresh vegetables and fruits. And as much of that as is possible should be fresh,raw [uncooked] vegetables and fruits.

Cherne, M.D. This book is chock full of good and godly knowledge. It can be an investment far greater than rubies and fine gold if the holder of the book will take the time to read and study the 900+ pages of this valuable resource; and then implement the discipline to put this knowledge into practice. Every household should have one. This new dietary concept of consuming 20% - 30% of acid producing foods, and 70% - 80% alkaline producing foods is also promoted by Dr. Thomas Jackson of M.E.E.T. Ministry.

We [most of us] have learned many wrong things as we were growing up. We need to discard that which is incorrect, and replace it with that which is good and godly knowledge. Part of God's plan is that His people shall be saved by godly knowledge. "The Lord (is) a God of knowledge...." And, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...." "But through knowledge shall the just be delivered." God would have His people to be full of godly knowledge. 1 Samuel 2:3; Hosea 4:6; and Proverbs 11:9.

Animal Foods and Flesh Foods

Ellen White has said that the time will come when all animal foods will be unsuitable for consumption. That as wickedness in the earth increases, the increase of disease in animals is proportional to the increase of human wickedness and sin. If we all believe that it is just seconds to 'midnight'; and that Y'shua Mashiyach [Jesus Christ] will come at 'midnight', then the time has come to put away all animal foods. God's simple plan for our health is to eat that which He originally gave to us in the Garden of Eden. God's plan is not that we should listen to the wisdom of this world.

Whatever you take away from the reading and studying of the information presented to you, try to remember this: The consumption of animal protein [such as found in milk and meat products] ultimately causes calcium loss! That is why, even though the inhabitants of the United States having perhaps the greatest calcium consumption per capita in the world have epidemic proportions of OsteoPorosis and OsteoArthritis!

Remember that the Dairy Counsel is not the 'end word' or the 'ultimate authority'; God's word and His counsels are the Ultimate Authority - the Dairy Counsel just wants to profit financially - at whatever costs might be! God has a plan for His people, it is a plan of Health and Peace! Let us learn God's plan for He is the Creator! He knows how to care for the bodies that He has created.

A Deficient Diet and Food Preservatives

In the wonderful and very valuable book by Vance Ferrell and Dr. Harold M. Cherne, M.D., Natural Remedies Encyclopedia, Fifth Edition we are told that arthritis is the result [symptom] of a nutritionally deficient diet [mal-nutrition]. This encyclopedia will give you a much better idea of what makes up a good and proper diet that is nutritionally complete.

Additionally arthritis may also be a symptom of toxic poisoning. Food additives, specially food preservatives, are a prime cause of arthritis. Chlorine and chlorides; and fluorides from the water supply, and toothpastes are also toxic poisons that build up in the body and may cause arthritis. Bodily waste products that are not excreted [eliminated] may build up in the body and particularly the joints and the soft tissues surrounding the joints and cause arthritis.

Xylitol
In order to avoid Fluoride in toothpastes, a good substitute for commercially prepared toothpastes is the following simple mixture: 50% salt and 50% Xylitol - the mixture may be varied to suit your taste and budget - Xylitol is a little expensive. Xylitol is a special type of sugar from the fiber of plants. It alkalizes the mouth and it prevents bacteria from adhering to the teeth and tissues of the mouth - brushing your tongue will wash away much bacteria from the mouth. A SHORT SIDE NOTE ABOUT XYLITOL HERE: Xylitol is ALSO extremely effective and useful as a 'Sinus Rinse to prevent and cure Sinus Infections! Use an approximately 50% sea salt and 50% Xylitol solution in warm 'pure' [purified - filtered - distilled - or reverse osmosis] water. The amount to use will be approximately: 1 teaspoon sea salt; 1 teaspoon Xylitol; in 16 ounces of pure [if at all possible] water. Too much salt will painfully 'burn' the sinus tissues; and too little salt will be uncomfortable. Please Be Careful! It will be far better to err on the side of not enough salt in the solution! You can always add more. Make sure to stir, agitate, or mix the solution thoroughly so that all salt grains or crystals are dissolved - that is you cannot see them any longer with your eyes!

Dr. Thomas Jackson of M.E.E.T. Ministry straitly warns us that arthritis is caused by food preservatives. If we were eating a good and proper diet, we would be eating no foods that contain food preservatives. All our food would be fresh, and much or most of it would be consumed raw.

The Grand Desire of a Sovereign God

God is sovereign in the heavens above and on the earth below. He is well able to do all that He pleases. It is His express wish [desire] that we should be in good health. And He has given to all His children the simple means to stay well and healthy, and to recover from diseases. He has given us the eight natural laws of health: let us apply our hearts to obey these eight natural laws of health and healing.


    God's Eight Natural Laws of Health

    1. Godly Trust - God's people must trust that He exists and that all His words and promises are sure, and all that He has said will be fulfilled exactly as God has stated.


    2. Fresh Unpolluted Air - It is God plan for us to breath pure clean healthful air. Ellen White has given strong counsel to remove ourselves from the cities!


    3. Daily Exercise - God's plan is that man should work [be physically, mentally, and spiritually exercised] six day a week.


    4. Sunshine - It is the sun that gives warmth, light, and energy. Sunlight is truly health giving. We must remember - moderation in all things!


    5. Adequate Sleep and Rest - God's plan provides man with rest, a nightly sleep and a weekly Sabbath, the seventh-day Sabbath of rest.


    6. Pure Unpolluted Water - It is not God's plan for man to drink water laced with poisons like flouride and chlorine, heavy metals and contaminates, full of bacteria.


    7. Abstemiousness & Temperance - God's plan is that man should exercise temperance in even good things and totally abstain from that which is harmful.


    8. Proper Nutrition and Diet - It is God's plan that the food we eat, our diet, is to be our medicine. "The leaves of the tree of life shall be for the healing of the nations."

Health is as much a spiritual work as it is an act of obedience to the Word of God and God's health laws. Believe His prophets and obey, and so shall you prosper. In 2 Chronicles 20:20 God advises us, "Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper."
